Full Design Service
Studio Mills provide full architecture and interior design for residential and commercial spaces. We divide our service into four stages to facilitate a projects natural development into workable targets.
Stage 01 | Concept
Based upon our initial meeting and brief - Studio Mills review the existing space by highlighting areas to address.
A feasibility study of proposals are explored and supported with mood imagery to present the concept.
Stage 02 | Development
The concept and layout are developed to include internal/external elevations, sections and additional plan details. 3D handsketch to showcase the design alongside the materials palette.
Materials Board
Samples are presented to give the best understanding of the concept direction with an outline FF&E schedule.
Stage 03 | Technical
The FF&E package (fixtures, furniture and equipment) outlining the material and furniture selected with costs. We manage procurement with suppliers creating a seamless transition from design to build. Costs will vary with suppliers based on availability, deliveries and market fluctuations.
Detail Drawing
Floor finishes, lighting layouts and joinery drawings (wardrobes, kitchens etc.) are developed.
A scope of works is produced for tender to support the drawings and FF&E.
Other consultants such as structural engineer, party wall surveyor and building control are required and seperate to our fee.
Stage 04 | Construction
Studio Mills are in constant communication with the build team ready to problem solve and oversee the design. Regular site visits, site reports and updates to the client.
